PET Acoustic Panels with CNC Grooving: A Practical Guide for Dubai Interiors
Why recycled PET has become the go-to acoustic finish for offices and studios in Dubai — and how CNC grooving turns a functional panel into a design feature.

Open-plan offices, glass meeting rooms and hard stone floors look great in Dubai — and sound terrible. Echo and background noise make calls harder, meetings longer and focused work almost impossible. PET acoustic panels are one of the most effective ways to fix that without giving up the design.
What is a PET acoustic panel?
PET panels are made from recycled polyester fibre. They are lightweight, fire-retardant and available in custom colours and sizes, which makes them easy to specify for offices, conference rooms, schools and commercial spaces.
- Recycled, eco-friendly material
- Lightweight and easy to install
- Fire-retardant
- Custom colours, sizes and shapes
Why CNC grooving matters
Acoustic panels work best when their slots, perforations or grooves are accurately cut. A slight error in dimensions or alignment can lower sound absorption — especially in PET. At Mute Line every piece is cut to file specification on our in-house CNC, holding a tolerance of ±0.1 mm, so the panel keeps its designed NRC.
Multi-depth routing lets us create grooves, textures and layered finishes, so the same wall can absorb sound and carry a logo, a pattern or a geometric relief.
Where PET panels perform best
- Offices and meeting rooms
- Recording and podcast studios
- Classrooms and training rooms
- Restaurants and retail spaces
Sending us your design
We accept .DXF, .DWG, .AI and .PDF files. Our software generates optimised cutting paths, which means minimal offcuts and a cleaner edge. Contractors and suppliers without their own CNC can use us as a back-end cutting partner.
Measured precisely, cut by machine (not by eye), and finished to the standard of Dubai’s premium interior market.
