Where acoustic underlay works best
Footsteps, dragged chairs and dropped objects are impact noise: the floor itself is struck and carries the vibration into the slab and the room below. An acoustic underlay sits between the finished floor and the slab, so the surface you walk on is cushioned and partly isolated from the structure.

How it’s fitted
The slab is cleaned and levelled first, because underlay cannot hide an uneven floor. The underlay is laid edge to edge with joints taped, and an isolation strip runs around the perimeter so the new floor does not touch the walls or skirting; any hard contact lets vibration bypass the underlay. The product depends on the finish: thinner layers suit laminate, engineered wood and vinyl, while tiles and screeds need an underlay made to sit beneath them. Door thresholds are planned so the new floor height still works with existing doors.
Most towers and communities ask for a fit-out approval before floors are changed, and we prepare the drawings for it. Our own team installs in all seven emirates, often as part of an apartment renovation. For Saudi Arabia and the other GCC countries we supply underlay only.

How it works
Stops noise travelling between rooms
Blocking sound takes mass, insulation and an airtight seal. A dense layer in the wall, floor or door turns most of the noise back, so only a fraction reaches the room next door.
